•  Formed Izel as a vehicle to manage contract work and undertook a number of varied and interesting projects and assignments including:

 

Digio Ltd: London City / Cambridge and Various Local sites 2008-to date

•  Undertook a range of activities on an ad hoc basis including:

•  Creating test plans and test cases for Software function and boundary compliance matrices for small business based clients. Liaising with all levels of staff.

•  Test and diagnosis of software and hardware problems including Server / Client management. General Computing / System problem solving for multiple customers.

•  Developing websites for various clients using Macromedia software / Paintshop Pro. 8.

•  Liaised with Asysco the AV company team and successfully completed a tight contract for a Russian trading Bank (VTB Capital).

•  Test of Embedded Ansi C RF modules and in house DOS based test scripts.

•  Undertook fault-finding to component and equipment level using a range of digital, analogue and power equipment.

Software Engineer

•  Source Control Managed the team which developed and maintained a multi-OS platform Big Brother Tele Voting System to BT, this was created on Windows platform and then ported into Redhat Linux when Teligent bought out Telspec:

•  Full utilisation of build and configuration experience to maximise the impact and benefit of a series of changes for tools, methodologies, practices and procedures.

•  Integrated and sorted conflicts of changes using Perforce and CVS source control programs, creating makefiles, client specifications and resolving branch issues.

•  Coding and test of Embedded Ansi C Dual PRI switching cards.

•  Windows NT4/XP/2003 and Redhat Linux based rack, VM and Desktop server setup.

•  Designed, coded and tested the development of Microsoft VC++ Windows applications for Server 2003 and NT4 targets using MFC, Win32 and the Windows Registry via a GUI for configurable parameters. Using UML and detailed / high level design docs.

•  Organised and base-lined un-configured code and ensured that release builds were correct and maintainable. Re-created all Telspec Documentation into Perforce.

•  Created Module Test Designs (MTD) with Vega test scripts for embedded C software of Civil Avionics Head Up Display (HUD) symbology.

•  Devised test plans and cases for boundary coverage certification claims.

•  Carried out unit and integration testing, plus formal qualification test using specialised test equipment qualifying results using complex spreadsheets.

•  Produced conditional path flow coverage via Tags for full test coverage of code.
